In a major blow to narcotics networks, Srinagar Police attached a ₹1 crore residential property in Lawaypora belonging to notorious drug kingpin Zubair Ahmad Sheikh under the NDPS Act on Friday.
The accused, with seven active FIRs across Kashmir including cases in Shalteng, Pattan and Sumbal, allegedly used drug profits to acquire the 17-marla property. Investigators confirmed the seizure under Sections 68-E/F of NDPS Act, prohibiting any transactions without court approval.
This marks the 12th high-value property attached in Srinagar this year as police intensify efforts to dismantle drug cartels’ financial infrastructure.
