Three members of a family, including a 3-year-old boy, were seriously injured when a truck hit their vehicle near Parimpora’s Mandi Chowk in Srinagar on Friday evening. The mother, Nusrat (36), suffered a limb amputation and remains critical along with her son Hami, while father Bilal Ahmad (40) is stable. All three were rushed to JVC Hospital Bemina for treatment.
Police have detained the truck driver and registered a case, with initial investigations pointing to speeding as the primary cause. The incident has sparked public outrage over recurring accidents in the area, with locals demanding better traffic enforcement and road safety measures. This marks the seventh major road crash in Srinagar this month. (Source: JKNS)
