Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations are set to begin in Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow, Monday, after the Shawwal moon was sighted in the region. Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam confirmed the sighting, stating that enough witnesses from across J&K have come forward, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Grand Mufti extended his greetings to the Muslim community, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, wishing them joy, happiness, peace, and prosperity on this auspicious occasion.
Notably, Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh and Kerala, will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, while the rest of India will observe the festival on April 11.
