Joint security forces arrested two terror associates linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad in Tral on Thursday, recovering explosives and ammunition during a checkpoint operation at Wagad crossing.
The suspects—Umer Mohi-ud-Din Bhat and Shakeel Ahmad Sheikh—were allegedly facilitating logistics for active terrorists in Awantipora. Seized items included 2 grenades, 59 AK-47 rounds, and incriminating materials.
An FIR (No. 86/2025) has been registered at Tral Police Station, with investigations ongoing to uncover further links to the terror network. (Source: GNS)
