Eleven students from the Army Goodwill School sustained injuries when their school minibus overturned at Ijara Pehlipora on Monday. The injured children were promptly transported to Government Medical College Baramulla, where doctors confirmed all were in stable condition.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest the vehicle may have lost control on the hilly terrain, though mechanical failure is also being examined.
This incident has renewed concerns about student transportation safety in mountainous regions of Kashmir.
The school administration has assured parents of a thorough safety review of all contracted vehicles. (Source: Daily Excelsior)
