Ready To Hit The Roads To Fight For Restoration Of J&K’s Statehood Says Tariq Karra

Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Tariq Hameed Karra has accused the central government of toying with the emotions of the people regarding the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood. Karra emphasized that the people are losing faith in the institution of Prime Minister and Home Minister due to the non-fulfillment of public commitments.

He pointed out that the assembly elections in J-K were held on the directions of the Supreme Court, and the Centre was not sincere about holding elections and restoring democracy despite the lapse of over five years. Karra also mentioned that the Supreme Court had directed the restoration of statehood as soon as possible, but the Centre is not obeying this directive.

The Congress party is fighting for the restoration of statehood, and Karra stated that they are ready to take to the streets if required. He emphasized that statehood is the right of the people of J-K, and they will not beg for the restoration of their rights, dignity, identity, and status but will fight for it.
