Crescent Public School in Naseem Bagh has drawn widespread criticism after instructing students to pay ₹150 each for classroom air conditioning, citing heatwave conditions.
The 30-day fee mandate (Order No: CPS/211/Adm) has been labeled “unjust” by parents and social media users, who argue schools should bear infrastructure costs.
“This sets a dangerous precedent—will desks and fans be next?” questioned one critic online. While the school claims the fee ensures a “comfortable environment,” critics call it a disguised cost transfer.
A school official told KNT the management would review the backlash, leaving affected families awaiting clarification. (Source: KNT)
