Head Constable Yeshpal Singh of Jammu died instantly on Saturday after being struck by a tipper (JK01Q-2816) near CTC Lethpora on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. The victim, posted at the Lethpora camp, was walking along the road when the accident occurred.
Police transported the body to Awantipora Police Station for formalities and launched an investigation into the incident.
Authorities are examining the circumstances of the collision, which marks another fatality on the accident-prone highway. (Source: JKNS)
