Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has ruled out any possibility of the National Conference (NC) forming an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This comes after BJP legislator R S Pathania hinted at a possible NC-BJP alliance. Omar stated that there is no scope, need, or alignment of thoughts between the two parties, particularly regarding Jammu and Kashmir.
Omar emphasized that the NC’s thoughts on J&K are vastly different from those of the BJP. He added that all issues, including statehood, will be discussed in the House during the ongoing budget session. This clarification puts to rest speculation about a potential alliance between the NC and BJP.
