Srinagar, Apr 17(KB): A male body was found on Thursday near the LAWDA office at Dal Lake in Srinagar’s Nishat area.
As per details available with news agency Kashmir Bulletin, locals who spotted the body alerted authorities, following which a team from Nishat Police Station rushed to the scene and preliminary investigation was initiated on the spot.
Officials said the deceased has been identified as Adil Ahmed age (30) resident of Nishat. The body has been taken into custody for medico-legal formalities.”The cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem,” a police said adding that further details will be shared once investigations progress.
Police have registered a case and initiated proceedings under relevant sections of law.(KB)
