Jammu, May 3 – CNS:- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has intensified its probe into the recent Pahalgam terror attack by questioning two overground workers (OGWs) of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. Nissar Ahmed and Mushtaq Hussain, currently lodged in Kot Balwal Jail in Jammu, are under the scanner for their suspected involvement in facilitating the Pahalgam assault.
Both individuals were previously arrested for providing logistical support to terrorists in connection with the deadly attacks in Dhangri (Rajouri) and Bhatta Durrian (Poonch) in 2023, which claimed several lives and drew nationwide condemnation.
According to sources, fresh intelligence inputs have indicated a possible link between the duo and the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack. The NIA is probing whether they coordinated or facilitated movement, shelter, or supply chains for the attackers.
Investigations are ongoing, and further interrogations are expected as part of the broader crackdown on terror networks operating in Jammu and Kashmir.(CNS)
