Kashmiri Student Killed, Two Critical in Punjab Road Accident

The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has urgently appealed to Punjab and J&K administrations following a fatal road accident in Ludhiana that claimed the life of Mudasir Ahmad, a student from Pattan, Baramulla, and left two others critically injured. The victims—Zahid Ahmad (Bandipora) and Momin Ahmad (Sopore)—were riding a motorcycle when it collided with a Swift car late Monday evening.

JKSA National Convenor Nasir Khuehami confirmed Mudasir’s body remains at Dayanand Medical College mortuary while the injured battle for life. “We implore CMs Bhagwant Mann and Omar Abdullah to facilitate immediate repatriation of the mortal remains and ensure specialized treatment for the survivors,” Khuehami stated, highlighting the families’ distress. The association has escalated the matter to both CMOs, seeking expedited medico-legal clearances and airlifting arrangements for the injured.

This marks the fourth fatal accident involving Kashmiri students in Punjab this year, reigniting demands for enhanced road safety measures near educational hubs. (Source: JKNS)
