A 29-year-old JCB operator, critically injured when his machine overturned during work at Dedina in Budgam on Sunday, succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Hospital Srinagar this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shah E Jahan, son of Jamal U Din Shan, originally a resident of Goa but presently living in Budgam. Officials said the JCB “turned turtle” during excavation work, leaving the operator with severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to SMHS Hospital’s trauma ward but could not survive.
Local authorities have initiated proceedings to investigate the circumstances of the accident. (Source: Asian News Hub)
