A head-on collision between a dumper and Tata Sumo near Sheeri petrol pump on Monday left one dead and two injured.
The deceased, Ghulam Mohiuddin of Trekanjal Boniyar, died instantly in the crash. Police confirmed the dumper driver was arrested and the vehicle seized for investigation.
The accident occurred when the Uri-boNund Sumo collided with the Baramulla-bound dumper. Injured occupants received first aid at the scene.
Authorities are probing the cause of the crash, which marks another fatal incident on the busy Baramulla-Uri route. (Source: JKNS)
