The body of 17-year-old Uzair Ahmad Ganaie was retrieved from the Jhelum River near Khawaja Bagh on Tuesday, two days after he drowned while bathing. The Sherwani Colony resident had slipped into the river on Sunday afternoon.
A joint operation involving SDRF, police and local volunteers continued round-the-clock before recovering the body near the accident site. This marks the fourth teenage drowning in Baramulla this summer.
