A 45-year-old labourer succumbed to injuries sustained after falling from a tree in Hayat Pora, Chadoora area of Budgam district.
The deceased has been identified as Liyaqat Ahmad Khatana, son of Gulam Nabi, originally from Rajouri but residing in Hayat Pora. Officials said Khatana was immediately taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Chadoora after the accident and later referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar, where he passed away during treatment.
