NIA Conducts Raids at Multiple Locations Across J&K in Ter’ror Conspiracy Case

Srinagar, June 05 (KDC): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday carried out searches at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir in connection with an ongoing investigation registered under case number RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU. The case pertains to an alleged terror conspiracy involving suspected overground workers (OGWs) linked to various terrorist groups.

Official sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir Dot Com that the searches are part of continued efforts to investigate the suspected support provided to terrorist networks. The individuals under scrutiny are believed to have assisted with logistics, information, and other forms of support.

In Budgam district, NIA teams conducted a search at the residence of Saboor Sultan, son of Mohammad Sultan Sofi, in Soibugh. Another search took place at the home of Shabir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, in Ichkote. Similar search operations were also carried out in parts of Kulgam district.

During the searches, officials examined digital devices, documents, and other materials to gather information related to the suspected activities. The agency aims to trace any connections, funding routes, or logistical networks that may be linked to unlawful activities, an offical told KDC.As of now, no arrests have been made, the official added.
