JKBOSE Lodges FIR Over Fake 12th Class Results

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has filed a formal complaint with the police after a fake website link displaying fabricated Class 12 results went viral on social media. The fraudulent website mimicked the official JKBOSE portal, causing widespread panic among students and parents. JKBOSE Secretary confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the perpetrators, and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

The board has urged students and guardians to rely solely on the official JKBOSE website (jkbose.nic.in) for updates. This comes after the actual Class 12 results were declared on April 30, 2025, with an overall pass percentage of 75%. Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 78% compared to 72% for boys. To check their results, students can visit the official website, enter their Roll Number, and download their results.

The cyber wing of the police is now investigating the source of the fake link and attempting to identify those behind the fraudulent activity. JKBOSE emphasizes the importance of verifying information through official channels to avoid confusion and distress. Students can also download various forms, such as application forms for correction in name, date of birth, or issuance of duplicate marks certificates, from the JKBOSE website.
