AIMPLB Moves Supreme Court to Challenge Amendments in ‘Waqf Board’

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has decided to challenge the recent amendments to the Waqf Act in the Supreme Court, deeming them discriminatory and unjust. The Board asserts its commitment to protecting Muslim community rights and interests in India.

The AIMPLB strongly opposes the amendments, citing concerns over erosion of Muslim rights and potential misuse for political purposes. The Board accuses the government of aligning with the BJP’s agenda, failing to defend Muslim interests. AIMPLB reassures the Muslim community, stating there’s no need for despair, and leadership will initiate a strong movement against these amendments.

A nationwide movement will be led against the amendments, with peaceful protests, demonstrations, and press conferences. The campaign, “Save Waqf, Save the Constitution,” will begin with a grand public gathering at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium, featuring roundtable discussions, protests, and symbolic arrests. The AIMPLB will also challenge the amendments in the Supreme Court to protect Muslim community rights.

The Board urges Muslims to remain patient and composed, avoiding emotional actions that might aid sectarian forces. The AIMPLB will continue leading the nationwide movement against the amendments, working towards repeal.
