The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has undergone a significant leadership reshuffle after losing the Delhi Assembly elections last month. This major overhaul aims to bolster the party’s electoral strength, with a focus on development and accountability in key states.
Former minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has taken the reins as the new president of the AAP’s Delhi unit, replacing Gopal Rai as the chief. Gaurav Gogoi, previously in-charge of Delhi, will now oversee Assam. Manish Sisodia’s brother-in-law has been appointed to lead the party in Punjab. In addition to these changes, the AAP has also appointed new chiefs for Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Goa.
This strategic move is expected to expand the party’s base and ensure government accountability, especially with the Delhi Assembly budget session approaching.
