MLA Pampore Expresses Outrage Over the Recognition of Khrew as ‘Green Belt’

MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi expressed his outrage and disappointment over the recognition of Khrew Town as a Green Belt, citing the severe restrictions imposed on local construction while cement factories operate freely in the area.

Masoodi demanded the early removal of Khrew area from the ‘Green Belt’ list, emphasizing the need for a fair and balanced approach to development. He highlighted the plight of local residents, who are struggling to make ends meet due to the restrictions on construction, while cement factories continue to operate without any hindrance.

“The recognition of Khrew Town as a Green Belt is a clear example of discriminatory policies, where the interests of local residents are being ignored,” Masoodi said. “I demand that the authorities take immediate action to remove Khrew area from the ‘Green Belt’ list and allow local construction to resume, thereby promoting the economic development of the region.”

Masoodi, a senior leader of the National Conference, has been vocal about various issues affecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir, including the implementation of the National Saffron Mission. His efforts have been focused on promoting the welfare of the people and ensuring that their rights are protected.
