A land dispute between two brothers in the Humpatri area of D.H. Pora, Kulgam, turned tragic on Thursday afternoon after the daughter of one of them lost her life during the altercation.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Khushbu Jan, daughter of Mohammad Ashraf Lone, one of the two brothers involved in the dispute.According to locals who spoke to The Kashmiriyat, a heated argument over property escalated into a physical clash, during which the girl suffered fatal injuries.“She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead,” locals said.Police have taken cognizance of the matter and have started legal formalities including the shifting of the body for autopsy.
