A 17-year-old boy was found dead under tragic circumstances at his residence in Haigam area of Sopore on Monday.
Officials reported that the teenager, identified as Huzaif Ahmad (17), son of Abdul Lateef Ratjer, was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan. Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident. While preliminary reports suggest suicide, authorities are examining all possible angles. The death has sent shockwaves through the close-knit Haigam neighborhood.
